Lignite and Wood Gasification Boilers

C18S lignite gasification boiler

The boilers are constructed for burning wood and coal (lignite) on the principle of generator gasifying with the use of a gas exhaust ventilator, which withdraws the combustion gases from the boiler.

The boiler body is produced as a weldment of 3 - 8 mm steel sheets. The boiler consists of two chambers, one placed upon the other. The upper chamber makes up the fuel container, and the lower one, combustion chamber and ash collector. Between the two chambers, a new, rotating, patent protected grate is placed. The grate ensures perfect combustion of coal, wood, or a combination thereof, as well as simple cleaning.

Advantages of Lignite and Wood Gasification Boilers

  • Burning lignite and wood separately, we recommend together
  • Revolving furnace grate - easy for ash removal
  • Fan controlled - exhaust fan (S)
  • Simple handling and cleaning
  • Large fuel container
  • Revolving furnace grate - easy for ash removal
  • Simpler cleaning - (C25ST, C32ST, C50S - boilers with tube heat exchanger)
  • The secondary air is pre-heated to high temperatures
  • Small size and low weight
  • High quality

Nastavení roštovacích segmentů
The settings of the grate segments is displayed on the picture, and the same for use of coal or wood.

The secondary air supply channel and the flat part of gasifying grate must always point downwards.

Installation and boiler regulation

Installation

ATMOS boilers must be connected via the LADDOMAT 22 or thermoregulation valve to achieve and keeping the minimum temperature of water returning to boiler at 65°C. The temperature of water exiting the boiler must be permanently kept between 80 - 90°C. The default configuration of all boilers includes a cooling circuit to prevent overheating. We recommend installing boilers with accumulation tanks.

Boiler regulation

Electrical - mechanical - Power is controlled with a safety valve operated with the draught regulator, FR 124 type, which automatically opens or closes the safety valve according to a set output temperature of water (80 - 90°C). When setting the power regulator, much attention should be paid because the regulator has another important function other than power regulation - it also secures the boiler against overheating. A controlling thermostat located on the boiler panel regulates the fan according to a set temperature (75 - 85°C). A temperature lower by 5°C should be set on the controlling thermostat rather than on the FR 124 draught regulator. Boiler use: C15S, C18S, C25ST, C32ST, C40S, C50S.

Each boiler can be fitted with ATMOS ACD 01 equithermal controller. It takes a control of the heating system based on datas collected from external sensors and on time. It can control suction fan of the boiler as well.

Panel with standard regulation

Panel with standard regulation

Panel composition:

Main off switch, safety thermostat, thermometer, regulator thermostat and combustion thermostat

Electro-mechanical regulation is an optimum solution for easy management of the operation of the boiler (ventilator).
The design of the panel with standard regulation is a basic design for all produced boilers.

Each boiler can be equipped at the customer's location with ATMOS ACD 01 electronic regulation for management of the entire heating system, depending on the outside and room temperatures. This regulation can also be managed by the boiler itself with a ventilator with many other functions.

Lignite briquettes gasification boilers

The boilers are constructed to burn lignite briquettes. On a base of gasification process with a exhaust fan (S) to suck waste gasses into the chimney.

The primary and secondary air are pre-heated to a very high temperature for achieveing high efficiency and good quality burning.

The recommneded fuel are lignite briquettes. As spare fuel, logs of wood (length 330 mm), brown and black coal of a larger size (NUT1) or  wooden briquettes can be used.

Advantages of Black coal boilers ATMOS AC25S, AC35S, AC45S

  • Burning coal and wood separately, we recommend together
  • Large fuel container
  • Simple handling and cleaning
  • Coolining loop protecting the boiler against overheating
  • Revolving furnace grate - easy for ash removal
  • The secondary air is pre-heated to high temperatures
  • Small size and low weight
  • Simpler cleaning - (AC35S - boiler with tube heat exchanger)
  • Fan controlled - exhaust (S)
  • Automatic switching off the boiler after burning down

Boiler Regulation

Electrical - mechanical - Power is controlled with a safety valve operated with the draught regulator, FR 124 type, which automatically opens or closes the safety valve according to a set output temperature of water (80 - 90°C). When setting the power regulator, much attention should be paid because the regulator has another important function other than power regulation - it also secures the boiler against overheating. A controlling thermostat located on the boiler panel regulates the fan according to a set temperature (80 - 85°C). A temperature lower by 5°C should be set on the controlling thermostat rather than on the FR 124 draught regulator. Boilers contain waste gas thermostat which serves to stop the suction fan when the boiler burns down. The boilers work for 70% without the fan on.

Each boiler can be fitted with ATMOS ACD 01 equithermal controller. It takes a control of the heating system based on datas collected from external sensors and on time. It can control suction fan of the boiler as well.
